Jörmungandr

In Norse mythology, it is said there is a great serpent that was thrown into Midgard's ocean by Odin. The serpent was so large it warped itself around the world and bit it's tail. They say that if the serpent were to ever let go of its tail the world would end. The vector illustration explores this idea through depth and lighting. To create contrast between the mountains and the detailed scales of the serpent; I used textures in the mountains to make them look rough.
